STAFF
AND TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES
PLAYING CARD SORTING
Issue one, two or even three packs of cards to each team (teams of three
is best) and mix up all the cards in each team's pack(s). Aim is to sort
into packs and suits fastest (display face up on table). Be aware that
if packs are of different designs you will need to state whether these
need sorting too, which obviously increases difficulty. Great for organization,
especially if large team sizes are possible.
COMMUNICATION CORRIDOR
Have two rooms with a corridor separating them - the further away the
better. Teams of three. Each team has a 'builder' with a set of building
bricks or a construction kit in each room, and a runner between the rooms.
In only one room do the builders have the instructions for what they're
building. As they build, the runners have to run and explain to the other
builder in the other room what is being built and how. Winning team is
first with a correctly assembled construction in each room.
WHEN INTRODUCING CHANGE….
Ask the participants to make their own signature five times in a paper.
Then ask them to make their own signature five times again .... with their
left hand (right hand for the left-handed). You'll see the reactions when
they're asked to make signatures with the hand which is not the usual
hand to write down a signature. This will teach participants about their
own reactions to change.
