Starting April 1, 2025, the Ontario government will remove minimum retail prices (MRP) for all spirits, including spirit-based ready-to-drink products, and pause the planned 4.4% increase in the cost-of-service fee for beer products sold at licensed retailers. The MRP for cider and wine, including wine-based ready-to-drink products, will increase according to Ontario Regulation 750/21, while beer MRP will remain unchanged. Any products listed below the new MRP will have prices adjusted automatically. Suppliers who need to re-quote wines and ciders should refer to the Quote Submission Form and submit to [email protected]. For more details, please visit the LCBO’s Doing Business website.
ORHMA applauds this initiative and has been advocating with the Ontario government to reduce fees on LCBO products for the hospitality sector. We will continue to advocate for price reductions on other beverage alcohol products.
